All About Auto-Spec

Auto-Spec Body Repair and Service Centre was set up in 1987 by a husband and wife team, Richard and Nicola. Richard has worked on cars all his life, starting as a boy helping his dad restore classic and American cars. When he set Auto-Spec up, it was as a mobile business, and they moved into their current premises in Ferryhill, 10 years ago.

Richard has a vast knowledge of German cars having worked with VW, Audi and Porsche in the early years of his career, even working in quality control, and performance and development testing of new vehicles, at a Porsche factory in Germany. Later in his career, he worked in various roles from vehicle technician to after-sales manager. All this experience, he brought with him to Auto-Spec which he and Nicola now run together as a hugely successful family business.

Auto-Spec is known in Ferryhill and the surrounding areas in particular for car bodywork, car servicing and MOTs. We’ve recently added specialist TerraClean fuel system cleaning, and DPF cleaning to the list of services that we provide. Everything we do, we do with the customer in mind, going that extra mile to ensure total customer satisfaction.
